Developing a First Line of Defense Against Respiratory Viruses
NorthLinks Bio is developing HEX17, a potential first-in-class intranasal antiviral designed to provide broad-spectrum protection against respiratory viruses at the point of entry – before infection begins.

NorthLinks Bio
Who We Are
A Company Founded on Pioneering Science
NorthLinks Bio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing broad-spectrum protection against respiratory viruses. Our lead program, HEX17, has completed a Phase 2 human challenge study demonstrating reduced symptomatic influenza and comparable safety and tolerability to placebo.
Our Science
The Glycan-Targeted Platform
Our Glycan-Targeted Platform is based on engineered carbohydrate-binding modules (CBMs) designed to bind with high affinity to sialic acids present on the surface of respiratory epithelial cells. HEX17 is designed to mask host receptors, with the goal of inhibiting viral entry before infection begins.
This host-directed mechanism is designed to maintain activity despite viral evolution and has the potential for protection against multiple respiratory viruses, including influenza, RSV, coronaviruses, rhinoviruses.
Our Program
Our Lead Program: HEX17
HEX17 is an investigational intranasal spray based on a multivalent carbohydrate-binding module (mCBM) designed to enhance glycan-binding affinity. It is being developed as a broad-spectrum antiviral prophylactic for respiratory pathogens.
